So my sister in law has a 3 year old daughter Jenna , her ex husband has custody of her . About 1 year ago she decided to marry my brother in law ( he is in the air force ) she moved up to SC without rights to see Jenna . A few months later she found out she was pregnant and my Brother in law left her , she moved back to texas to be with Jenna and Jillian was born in Nov. 06 , now I am trying to help her 1) see her daughter jenna which her ex is denying 2 ) get her divorced from my brother in law 3) obtain all rights to Jillian WITH child support . I have never been or seen a situation like this and to make it worse neither of us have money for a lawyer . Any advice ???

And on top of all of that my brother in law wants a paternity test …

Earlier this year, it was reported that actor Goran Visnjic will be leaving the set of ER for good. Last week, news about the ER star again broke out as the 34 year old actor was the target of a lawsuit filed by a Croatian woman named Mirela Rupic.

According to Nenad Skare, Rupic’s lawyer, she decided to sue the actor after he refused to recognize that he had fathered her four month old baby daughter. Rupic claimed that Visnjic was already aware of her pregnancy from the start, however he only offered financial support on the condition that he wouldn’t have a relationship with the baby.

In a conversation with the Associated Press, Skare said that his client has already exerted effort in settling this issue with Visnjic, however, her attempts had failed. Rupic’s party proposes a paternity test if the actor formally refuses to recognize the child.

Goran Visnjic, who was born in Sibenik, Croatia, is still keeping quiet about this issue. He has been married to Ivana Vrdoljak since 1999 and in April of 2007, the couple adopted a baby boy whom they named Tim, after one of Croatia’s greatest poets, Augustin “Tin” Ujevic.

Visnjic first ventured into acting subsequently playing the lead role in the Dubrovnik Summer Theatre Festival’s production of Hamlet. He was with the show from 1993 to 2000, and in the span of seven years, he has garnered several Orlando Awards. However, it was his portrayal of Bosnian driver Risto in Welcome to Sarajevo that led to his discovery by then-producer Jack Orman.

Orman then cast Visnjic for the role of Dr. Luka Kovac, who appeared in the sixth season of ER. By the time season 12 came around, he was made one of the show’s lead male characters.

In March, it was reported that he was to depart from the long-running medical series as soon as the 13th season concludes. However, the producers of the show still intend to keep him for a few more episodes as to properly write him off the series.

The 14th season of ER is scheduled to premiere on September 20.

My ex-fiance has given birth to our son 10 days ago (though I am 99.99%) sure he is our son, I have to establish paternity as she is doing all in her power to deny me any rights, in fact I flew 2000 miles (she agreed , I was happy) to see him delivered, and was blocked from the hospital (her parents were there as well) ! Help, this is turning into a serious control issue, and I am desperate and devastated now….our child was born in Kentucky, I am in Portland and was moving back but now??? I truly need to get this done. Can it be done by filing papers myself, anyone done this?…I am the father, so yes its unusual. Do I need attorney to file for paternity, I just want a court order for this test for all of us…
She does not want child support or anything. I am the one filing, and voluntarily doing this as he is our son. I just want my rights to be involved and part of his life, she does not want to lose 1 minute of our son in shared time is what I believe is happening and she is making it difficult on me by doing this….
I wanted to expand on the question of child support. I am willing to help out to what is need for supporting our son. Sorry, did not mean to sound like she didnt want it and I would not be there…I do love our son, I only have 2 pictures on a cell phone the day he was born, it sucked staying for the next 3 days and not getting one minute to see him in the hospital across the parking lot. A women I never heard of named me as the father of a child born 16 years ago. I had to go to court and take a DNA test to show it was a mistake but I hired an attorney and I was put through an embarassing and humiliating experience. I went to sue the lady but she moved out of state before she could be served. I later found out that the child support worker convinced her to sign an affidavit saying she had sex with me 16 years earlier based soley on the worker checking my place of employment for someone working there 16 years ago with the first name I have, absolutely no other info was offered by this lady other that she had a one night stand with someone named Jim 16 years ago.This worker even admitted that this lady signed the affidavit based soley on that phone call and there was no other investigation made. I wanted to sue the county but could not afford an attorney . I’ve been trying to find a way to get even. Any ideas anyone?

WASHINGTON (AFP) - A swab, a consent form, an envelope and a waiting period of three to five business days is all there is to settling paternity issues with the test kit that went on sale Wednesday at some US drug stores.

Identigene, which runs a DNA testing laboratory, said its DNA Paternity Test Collection Kit went on sale at the 4,363 Rite Aid drug stores throughout the United States, except New York.

The swab in the kit is used to collect a saliva sample, to be mailed to the Identigene laboratory for an analysis that costs additional 119 dollars.

It takes three to five business days to get the test results, which are delivered by mail, email, or online through a secured Web service.

The paternity test kit is already a hit in California, Washington and Oregon states, where they have been selling on a trial basis since November, Identigene said.

“Demand has been very strong, store sales are brisk and Identigene has been inundated with questions regarding the product’s availability,” it said in a statement.

Test kit buyers include women who want to know the identity of father of their child — or unborn child — as well as people looking for their parents.

Sold without prescription, the paternity kits are not allowed as evidence in court, where more precise and costly DNA tests are required.

im 16,my ex got pregnant and then had a baby and yes the day she got pregnant we were together well she said it wasnt mine and claimed it was this other guys he had a paternity test done well its not his so now she’s saying its mine and i believe it the baby has my face and everything she’s not trying to get child support because she gave the baby up for adoption why i need help is if i get the test done and she’s mine i want her i want to raise my own child i have full support of my family and they make good money to help me out the baby is 6 weeks old and im in texas so am i able to get my baby i heard that since she signed away her rights if im the father then i didnt and i can claim the child is this true please help and thanks

My husbands work place told him that he needs to give in a form to book paternity leave and that you get the form from the midwife, but the problem is I can’t see my midwife for a while now and he has to hand it in on tuesday, so does anyone know what form this is and where to get it etc…
